We participate in the Swisstainable sustainability program and are classified at level I – committed. The Swisstainable program brings together companies and organizations from across the Swiss tourism sector. Through our participation, we are committed to the ongoing sustainable development of our company, monitor sustainability measures and make a concrete contribution to sustainable Swiss tourism.
Sustainability as a Way of Life
As an accommodation facility, we have a direct impact on the type of energy our guests consume.
At Tariche, we’ve decided that it should be local and sustainable.
Sustainability has always been at the heart of Tariche’s activities. Located in the Doubs nature reserve, we are deeply committed to preserving this unique environment. With this in mind, we have always combined the development of new infrastructures with the use of clean energy.
Today, we are proud to be equipped with 50 m² of thermal solar panels for hot water, 56 m² of photovoltaic solar panels for electricity, a wood-fired boiler using 35 steres of local wood from Clos du Doubs every year, and an efficient heat pump. We have also installed 2 charging stations for electric vehicles, supplied with electricity “made in Tariche” thanks to our solar installations.
These initiatives enable our site to be 100% supplied with water heated with sustainable energy and to be almost entirely decarbonized. If you recharge your car on a sunny day, you’ll be driving thanks to the Tariche sun!
